Summer is in full force and with the 4th of July just days away, it seemed like a great time to compile a list of my favorite recipes for summer party food.
Everything below is in alphabetical order and hyperlinked to the recipe for your convenience :)
A few simple ingredients really shine in this delicious, vegetarian snack that will please even the carnivores.
Always a classic. Whether it's hot or cold outside, a party means cornflake potatoes where I come from. The best part? They're just as good room temp and hot, so they're perfect for an open house party.
A twist of a classic burger. Serve on a pretzel bun for optimal goodness.
The perfect pair with bbq plus it comes together quickly on the stove, reheats easily, and don't require a roux!
Canned corn or fresh from the farmers market, my Easy Esquites are a fun and out of the norm side for your cookout.
After all that savory, we ALWAYS need something sweet. And dips are the best kind of dish for feeding a crowd, so why should dessert be any different? Funfetti dip is so tasty and so easy to make. Dip Nilla Wafer, animal crackers, even fruit! It's a fun way to eat your sweets that your guests will love. Get gluten-free cake mix to make this GF friendly!
Cold and light, it's a great addition to a party spread. Serve as sliders, with crackers, or over some lettuce. Just be sure to keep it indoors or thoroughly chilled by surrounding the serving bowl with ice.
Light, gluten free, vegetarian and no cooking required. You're welcome.
I love these sandwiches so much. They are summer in a sandwich to me. Assembly line putting the sandwiches together and they're just as easy to serve to 2 as 10.
This one has been a summer cook out staple in my family for decades. Marinate is the day before for optimal flavor and tenderness. This also stretches to feed a ton of people, so it's great for parties! (2lbs serves about 8 people)
You can make a huge platter of these veggies for a crowd (or grill and snack on them all weekend). They are just as good hot, room temp, or cold. The basting sauce makes grilled veggies out of this world irresistible. Trust me, you want to add these to your menu.
When the grill is calling your name, but you want to serve up something different from burgers or hot dogs, my Honey Mustard Chicken is full of flavor, easy to make, and a delightful change of course your guests will love.
What's more summery than tomato pies? My mini ones are the perfect party bite. Poppable and scrumptious. They also freeze great so make them ahead of time to save yourself a headache on party day.
Football and beer go together like peanut butter and jelly. And cheese goes with everything. Serve this up with soft pretzel bites (available at your grocery store!) for an out of this world dip experience.
Bright and summery, this chicken has been one of my favorite grilling recipes since I was a kid. It's a little unexpected and a lot a bit delicious.
It's peach and tomato HEAVEN in the summer. This is such an easy and wonderful way to enjoy the garden fresh goodness.
A major upgrade to a classic treat. Everyone loves these, even the skeptics.
An easier way to serve pizza at your party. The best part is these can be served room temp with a side of warm marinara. You can fill it with whatever you like or make a few different kinds. I also love sausage and caramelized onion!
Whether you're serving them with bbq, bloody marys, or deli sandwiches, these pickles always hit. Make them as coin or spears, whichever you prefer!
Always a favorite at my family gatherings, I love these party squares so much. And they're a beautiful way to use and display the fresh veggies your find at your local farmers market.
Need I say more? It's so simple to make and chips and salsa are a great addition to any party.
Your guests won't be expecting this one, but I can guarantee they're going to love it. A classic treat made a little more accessible for party mode.
The perfect thing to have out on the counter or table when people arrive. It's so snackable and such an improvement upon the bagged snack mix at the grocery store. You guests will love this.
When it's too hot to grill or turn on the oven, these sammies are a great option to serve to a crowd. Throw everything into the Crockpot in the morning and you have hot, delicious sammies in the evening. These do get a little messy, so make sure to have extra napkins on hand. Cut your rolls into 3" pieces for more manageable servings.
I'm not lying when I say this gets requested for parties I host all the time. And I'm also not lying when I tell you I think I'm addicted to it. No smoker? No problem. Pop it in the oven instead.
A lighter option for your spread of dips. Gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, and DELICIOUS. Make this a day in advance and stick it in the fridge for easy prep on game day.
